Welcome to Thistle & Rose Threads, the home of hand-embroidered personalised children’s clothing and new baby gifts.

I'm Natalie, the face behind the small business. I'm a mum in my 30s to a little girl born during the pandemic – a time that changed our lives in countless ways.

Following the birth of my daughter and some unforeseen impacts on my frontline job in mental health inpatient care due to the pandemic, I decided not to return to that role. Instead, I found myself chasing the dream of a more family-friendly career. Though I didn’t quite find that, I discovered a new hobby embroidering fun clothing items for my daughter, which has somehow blossomed into a fully fledged small business! I couldn’t be happier to have you here for the ride!

Thistle & Rose Threads was established at the beginning of 2024, and I’m already amazed at all the incredible items I've been fortunate enough to create and send out into the world. It's incredible to see so many of your lovely little ones proudly wearing my creations and I feel so touched to be part of your special moments and milestones.

It's been a wonderful journey so far, and I hope it continues for many years to come.
